Waste Management Reports Third-Quarter Earnings

Waste Management, Houston, has reported third-quarter net income of $215 million on $3.38 billion in revenues. Last year’s net income for the same quarter was $302 million on $3.27 billion in revenues.

The company noted that the impact of hurricanes Katrina and Rita contributed to lost revenue and increased operating expenses in the third quarter.
