Waste Industries Completes Sale and Purchase with Allied

Raleigh, N.C. -- Waste Industries USA Inc. has purchased operations in Norfolk, Va., and Clarksville, Tenn., from Allied Waste Industries, Scottsdale, Ariz. Waste Industries simultaneously has sold its operations in Charlotte, N.C., Sumter, S.C., Mobile, Ala., and Biloxi, Miss., to Allied. Both companies say customers are being notified of the changes and should not expect an interruption of services.
