Stericycle Reports Rise in Revenues and Net Income

Lake Forest -- Stericycle Inc. has reported revenues of $112.3 million for the first quarter of 2003, ending March 31. Revenues went up 15.7 percent from $97.1 million in the same period one year ago, the company says. International equipment sales contributed $0.7 million in revenues as compared to $2.7 million the previous year. Gross profit was $47.1 million, up 21.2 percent from $38.9 million. Net income for the quarter rose 38.1 percent to $14.7 million, up from $10.6 million.
