Senior Citizens Criticize Bush’s Environmental Policies

Iowa City, Iowa -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Washington, D.C., is fielding criticism from senior citizens that is aimed at President Bush. The EPA is hosting listening sessions across the country that target the concerns of the elderly. The most vocal concern has been that the Bush Administration has been favoring business over the environment because it has compromised the protective elements of the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act. The EPA plans to focus on how pollutants affect an aging population with weaker immune systems and a lifetime of exposure to toxins and prescription drugs.
