Onyx Wins Palm Beach Bid

Sarasota, Fla. — Palm Beach County, Fla., has awarded Onyx Waste Services of Florida a solid waste and recycling collection services contract valued at approximately $26 million over five years. Onyx will begin serving Palm Beach customers in October. In addition to Onyx, three other solid waste companies competed for the bid: Waste Management, Houston; Republic Massillon, Ohio; and Browning Ferris Industries, Scottsdale, Ariz.
