Ottumwa, Iowa – The COO of Al-jon Inc., Ken Pratt, died on Dec. 24, 2003. He was 62. Pratt began his career in the late 1960s at Modesto, Calif.-based Caron Compactor Co. He joined Al-jon in 1996 as President of the Solid Waste Division. He was promoted to COO in 2001.

Survivors include a son, Ken Pratt, Lodi, Calif., and daughter, Lani Pratt-Matsen, Carmichael, Calif. The family has requested that donations be made in his name to the Make-A-Wish Foundation: www.wish.org.
