Waste Management negotiates Pennsylvania’s largest non-public works contract

The Falls Township, Pa., Board of Supervisors has signed a 20-year, $290 million contract with Waste Management Disposal Services of Pennsylvania, a subsidiary of Houston-based Waste Management. The contract is reportedly the largest non-public works agreement ever negotiated in the state. The contract also states that Waste Management will dedicate 840 acres of land to the township, provide over $40 million in free recycling and trash services and use 2,000 acres of its property for recreational purposes.
