The Solid Waste Division Manager oversees County Solid Waste Programs including, refuse collection and disposal, landfill development and operation, recycling and composting, environmental compliance, and source reduction. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in related field, 8 yrs. exp., with 2 yrs. supv. exp. Preferred requirements include landfill, composting, recycling and transfer station siting, development, permitting and operations experience, plus a background in hydrogeology, landfill monitoring (groundwater and landfill gas), and experience in closure and perpetual care/post closure management.
