ISRI Moves on Tire Initiatives
Washington, D.C. -- The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI) has approved two measures that promote tire recycling and the interests of tire recyclers during its annual convention in Orlando, Fla., in April. ISRI’s Ferrous Division and board of directors approved a new specification for tire wire, which becomes effective May 9. The ISRI board also approved a public policy position on state scrap tire laws, which includes proposals for the design and enforcement of tire regulations. The proposal also stresses the importance of public-private partnerships. For details, visit
