IESI Announces Financial Results, Acquisitions

Fort Worth, Texas -- IESI Corp. has announced revenue for the three months ended June 30, 2003, increased 16.3 percent to $60.9 million compared with revenue of $52.4 million for the same three-month period one year ago. Income was down from $6.1 million in 2002 to $5 million.

The company also says it has acquired nine businesses since April 2003 that generate more than $9 million in aggregate annual revenue. The acquisitions include a hauling operation in St. Louis; a hauling operation in Granbury, Texas, which includes a transfer station; a municipal solid waste landfill in Weatherford, Texas; and six tuck-in acquisitions in Arkansas, Missouri and Texas.
