Director of Engineering, Environmental and Compliance

This position manages a staff of 10+ in developing plans and permit application for 32 Waste Facilities (landfills, recycleries, transfer stations). A primary duty is the compliance management system and operating as the company liaison with environmental regulatory agencies: investigating environmental complaints, regulatory orders and citations; milestone progress reports; attending agency hearings; prepare/present statements and more.

Requires a 4-year Technical Degree (Associated Master's with a technical discipline applicable to Solid Waste Industry preferred) and eight (8) years of Solid Waste experience preferably in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Five (5) years of technical personnel management and professional licenses preferred.

Site Engineer
This position performs facility planning to meet operational goals and environmental compliance with duties that include: preparing/coordinating permitting; managing civil design activities; preparing bid documents and reviewing technical or environmentally related bids; reviewing implementation of facility specific environmental compliance programs; serve as a liaison with governmental agencies and more.

Requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering or related with five (5) years experience with solid waste landfills and transfer stations and/or landfill permitting and regulatory affairs. Also necessary are excellent communications skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and proficiency with MS Office; knowledge of Auto Cad software and Solid Waste regulations is beneficial.
