Casella Begins Operating NY Landfill

Rutland, Vt. –- Casella Waste Systems has begun operating the Ontario County, New York landfill, assuming all permitting and construction of the site. The company was selected by the Ontario County Board of Supervisors this past fall to operate the Subtitle D landfill in Seneca, N.Y., for the next 25 years. The facility accepts approximately 2,000 tons of municipal solid waste per day.
