Waste Management Inc., Houston, also has announced that it will host a conference call to discuss its fourth quarter financial results starting at 9 a.m. CST on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004. Waste Management invites the public to listen by accessing www.wm.com or by calling (877) 710-6139 and asking for "Waste Management Conference Call – Call ID 4861246."

In other financial news, Safety-Kleen Corp. recently reported that the Plano, Texas-based company had emerged from bankruptcy protection after operating under Chapter 11 for the past three-plus years. In June 2000, the company filed for protection from creditors. After skipping interest payments, Safety-Kleen’s auditor turned over financial statements to regulators, which opened aan investigation into accounting irregularities within the corporation.
