Waste Industries Reports A 10 Percent Revenue Increase

Raleigh, N.C. -- Waste Industries USA Inc. has reported first quarter 2004 revenue increased to $69.2 million from $62.9 million for first quarter of 2003. The company’s operating income was reported at $6.9 million, an 18 percent increase from $5.9 million in 2003’s first quarter. Net income for the first quarter of 2004 increased 29.2 percent from $2.2 million in first quarter 2003 to $2.8 million in first quarter 2004.
