Waste Management releases fourth quarter 2005 earnings

Houston, Texas-based Waste Management has released it fourth quarter earnings, reporting a net income of $290 million for fourth-quarter 2005. During the same period in 2004, the firm reported $269 million in net income. In fourth-quarter 2005, the company received $3.37 billion in total revenue versus $3.21 billion in 2004, according to a press release. In 2005, the company received a net income of $1.18 billion from a total revenue of $13.07 billion. This represents an increase from the company’s 2004 net income of $939 million from a total revenue of $12.52 billion.
