NSWMA Extends Partnership With MPRI To Provide Simulator Training
The Washington-based National Solid Wastes Management Association (NSWMA) has reached an agreement with MPRI, an Alexandria, Va.-based company, to provide simulator-based training for waste truck drivers. Through NSWMA, both private haulers and local governments can arrange for their employees to receive the training, which MPRI offered during the 12 NSWMA driver-training sessions held across the country in March.
“The feedback we received from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, and many companies and local governments have inquired about the availability of simulator-based training for all of their drivers,” said David Biderman, general counsel for NSWMA, in a press release. “This partnership reflects NSWMA’s effort to respond to that demand and provide innovative and cutting edge training to solid waste employees throughout the United States.”
NSWMA and MPRI will conduct an educational session on simulator training at WasteExpo on Tuesday, May 6, from 1:45 p.m. to 3 p.m.
