Bush Names EPA Administrator To Head Health And Human Services
Washington, D.C. — President George W. Bush has nominated Michael Leavitt, the administrator of the Washington, D.C.-based Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), to become the next secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Leavitt became the head of the EPA late last year; at HHS, he would replace Tommy Thompson.
