Advanced Disposal Acquires Waste Services Operations

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Advanced Disposal Services has acquired hauling, recycling and landfill operations in Jacksonville from Waste Services for $57.5 million. The acquisition is Advance Disposal’s largest to date and will close in early March.

“This acquisition is a continuation of Advanced Disposal’s successful growth strategy to identify and secure vertical integration opportunities,” said Charlie Appleby, CEO of Advanced Disposal, in a press release. “The fact that this acquisition is in our hometown makes it even more exciting for our company and all our employees!”
