Allied Waste announces closing of senior notes offering

Allied Waste North America (AWNA), a subsidiary of Phoenix-based Allied Waste, has completed its offering of $750 million in aggregate principal amount of its 6 7/8 percent senior notes due in 2017. In return, Allied Waste will use the net proceeds from the sale of the notes to purchase up to $750 million of AWNA’s 8.5 percent senior notes, which are due in 2008 under a previous tender offer.
