  • Providence, R.I..-based Waste Haulers acquired WE Dispose, Providence, R.I.

  • Veolia Environmental Services, Milwaukee, Wis., announced the acquisition of Otis & Sons Trash Disposal, Boonville, Mo.

  • Rumpke Consolidated Companies, Cincinnati, received the Bronze SWANA (Solid Waste Association of North America) Excellence in Solid Waste Management Award.

  • The Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio, (SWACO), announced a partnership with Shelly Co., Thornville, Ohio, that will enable the construction of an industrial park and expand Shelly's mining opportunities.

  • Waste Management, Houston, announced it has partnered with Sony for an e-waste recycling program, the Sony Take Back Recycling Program.
