CAMERON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, PENNSYLVANIA

   REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL CAPACITY

 

In accordance with Act 101 and Section 272 of the PA Solid Waste Rules and Regulations (as amended), the County of Cameron is hereby soliciting proposals for disposal of County-generated municipal waste (MSW) including construction/demolition waste (C/D) and septage waste.  Cameron County is soliciting responses to qualify facilities to provide processing/disposal capacity to begin on or after January 1st, 2010 for a period of five (5) years with an option to renew for an additional five (5) years, for a total of ten (10) years. 

 

Copies of the RFP can be obtained on or about September 8th, 2009, via e-mail for free at camcotreas@cameroncountypa.com or in hard copy for $50 from the Cameron County Commissioners,

Sealed proposals, which must include the RFP Submittal Form, will be received by the Cameron County Commissioners, attention Tara Newton, at the address listed above until 4:00 p.m., prevailing time on October 16th, 2009.  The Cameron County Commissioners will publicly open all proposals at 12:00 p.m. on October 19th, 2009 at the County Courthouse.  Envelopes containing the proposals must be sealed and clearly labeled to show the name and address of the proposer and the statement "Proposal for Municipal Solid Waste Disposal Services". 

 

Qualified facilities will be notified once all applications have been reviewed by the Cameron County Solid Waste Advisory Committee.  Cameron County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any irregularities and/or informalities in any proposal and to make an award in any manner, consistent with applicable laws, which is deemed to be in the best interest of the County.
