Request for Proposals -- Consultant Services, Price Regulation of NYC Commercial Trade Waste Study
New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) is seeking a consultant or consultant team to conduct a study of the commercial waste-hauling industry in New York City, focusing on the impact of changing the level of the current cap on the legal rates that haulers are allowed to charge customers. NYCEDC, on behalf of its client the New York City Business Integrity Commission, seeks to understand the current business climate and the constraints facing commercial waste haulers and their customers in order to evaluate the functioning and appropriate level of the rate cap.
NYCEDC plans to select a consultant on the basis of factors including, but not limited to: the quality of the proposal, experience of key staff identified in the proposal, experience and quality of any subcontractors proposed, demonstrated successful experience in performing services similar to those encompassed in the RFP, and the proposed fee.
Companies who have been certified with the New York City Small Business Services as Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises (“M/WBE”) are strongly encouraged to apply. To find out more about M/WBE certification, please call 311 or go to www.nyc.gov/getcertified.
