The Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio is a leader in the industry with cutting edge programs and partnerships. SWACO owns and operates a 3,300 tons per day landfill and is one of 52 solid waste districts operating in the State of Ohio. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our high power team to fill the position of the Mechanic Supervisor. This person must have a High School diploma or equivalent recognized certification with at least 5 years of experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience in operating and maintaining equipment. Candidate must have strong skills and knowledge of equipment used on landfill such as earthmoving equipment, landfill compactors, dozers, trackhoes, backhoes and motor graders. Most equipment currently used on the landfill is CATEPILLAR. In addition, this person must also have previous experience in maintenance of rolling stock, mechanical and electrical equipment.
