The system can cover containers up to 40 cubic yards (cu. yds.) and includes pivot arms that will not break, the company says. To reduce repair costs, the arms do not include cylinders, the company says. Additional features include fully automatic operation, hydraulic power gantry and tarp roller.

Hendrickson, Hebron, Ohio, offers Haulmaax, a heavy-duty rubber track suspension. With 40,000-pound (lb.) to 46,000-lb. capacities, the unit adjusts to the load for stability in a variety of applications. According to the company, the suspension's equalizing beams are intended to lower the center of gravity. The 17-inch (in.) diagonal wheel articulation is designed for equal load distribution, traction and stability.

With the ability to accommodate 38,000-lb. to 75,000-lb. capacities, the heavy-duty suspension is designed for use in harsh service industries including solid waste and construction. The unit's four independent articulating arms and 18-in. diagonal articulation provide traction. According to the company, the unit's bushings are designed to reduce maintenance. The bushings and laminated rubber springs can be customized for a smooth ride, driver comfort and long life, the company says.

The detachable container electric tarp system from Roll Rite, Alger, Mich., is manufactured for use in the scrap, recycling and solid waste industries. The system can be used with roll-offs, hooklifts and luggers, and is available in stationary and adjustable configurations to fit older rolloff bodies, the company says. The unit's arms are constructed of aluminum and have exposed hydraulic cylinders. A wireless remote control is available for systems with adjustable pivots or towers, giving users a 360-degree view of tarp operations, including load obstructions. A variety of tarp fabrics are available, including the company's Super Tough, a breathable mesh fabric that is designed to handle scrap debris. The system also is available for transfer trailers up to 53 feet (ft.).
